ABOVE: Lofty aspiration, bad execution. This config is history… the 4 x 2 should be on top of the 2 x 6 slab that’s bolted onto the concrete. In the end, it was re-configured and the loft eventually turned out to be a nice addition to the unit.
neat niche
The divider with niche and halogens. We love niches! Suggestion is make this no more than 4 inches. Shown here is a 6 inch divider, that extra 2 inches occupy space and has weight (matter!).
e-le-va-tion!
Elevated platform, no need for platform bed. Throw in the mattress once done. Just a suggestion: We recommend putting extra storage beneath this elevated platform, may be a pull-out drawer or a simple hollow box with door, better known as cabinet.
