Virtual theft of virtual furniture

Read about this today, police are investigating the virtual theft of virtual furniture on a social networking site popular with teenagers, Habbo. I picked up the new from ABSCBN so I hope what I read wasn’t a virtual news.
The site Habbo is a sim-like virtual hotel site aimed at teenagers where they can create a character for themselves to hang out with friends, get a pet and do some virtual stuff like furnish their own rooms. After the phishing/hacking, one (or group of people) was able to get usernames & passwords and was able to get the virtual furniture. The virtual furniture most probably, they would sell later on. Some reportedly lost real-value 1200USD worth of virtual furniture.
But after the virtual thievery got to the mainstream news plus police doing some work and site owners looking into it, I doubt if the virtual furniture would still be sale-able. Technology is so powerful and intelligent, I see site developer being able to tag all the stolen furniture and able to identify where or to whose account all the furniture were delivered.
So kids, take care of your Habbo accounts and do real-world furniture buying once in a while.
