Learned shop safety from Pratt Institute, Really!

Aside from the day to day blah-blah-blogging and yakking we do here at site, somehow we have time to make and do stuff as well. You know, try things out ourselves. These require us the get our hands dirty (and epoxied, and glued, and blistered, and occasionally hammered), use some power tools and stationary power machines in the process. And in using power tools (hand tools too), first things first, safety is the main agenda. There’s a reason why they inserted the word “power” in power tools. These tools are also spelled capital D.A.N.G.E.R.O.U.S. so one workshopper needs proper orientation, a boat load of common sense, knowledge when working with them. One nice workshop basic guide is the one by Pratt Institute. Pratt, you know, KC‘s school. :-) It’s a quickie read. Download here. And so I claim, I learned some workshop safety from Pratt Institute. :-)
Even for home workshopper, home use of power tools, this is worth reading. Besides, it’s only 25-page short.
