The UK builds the smallest homes in Europe

Whoa, check this report, the United Kingdom builds the smallest homes in Europe at 76 SQM. Don’t have hard data but I think newer residential developments in suburban Manila Philippines go over 76SQM. Or, at the very least within that range. A 6 meter by 6 meter structure, 2-storey house equates to 72 sqm. If you’ll add the carport, we’re at 76sqm then. Dunno where this post is getting? Me too. :)
Basically, what I’m trying to say is Filipino homes are still at par with the western world, or at least, a densely populated western city like London.
No surprise, US and Australia top the list with 214 and 206 sqms respectively. Perhaps because of good mortgage packages/bank deals in the US. And in Australia, vast land and the economic situation allow them to build bigger homes. Besides, historically, they’ve built their homes big.
