Winning E-Trike designs to be awarded tomorrow

The top ten finalists of Nationwide Contest for the Best E-Trike Design sponsored by the Department of Energy will be announced during awarding ceremonies tomorrow, March 1, 10 a.m., at the Philippine Information Agency auditorium.

 

DOE Secretary Jose Rene Almendras shall award each of the top three winners with a P200,000 check and a certificate of recognition. The remaining seven finalists, on the other hand, shall each receive a certificate of recognition plus a consolation prize of P50,000.

 

The top three winning entries were selected last February 24 by a panel of judges headed by DOE Sec. Jose Rene D. Almendras, and composed of representatives from government agencies such as DOE, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Transportation and Communication, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.

 

Attending the awarding ceremony are officials from the DOE, Asian Development Bank, Land Bank of the Philippines, and Department of Finance.

 

Noel Cabangon, DOE Chorale, and Philippine National Oil Company Chorale will perform during the program. (PCCC/PIA-GHQ)
