Home fit for a crownless King (LeBron James)

It seems like LeBron James is more pre-occupied in collecting houses (or mansions), rather than collecting championships.
LeBron’s Vital Stats:
- Estate & Mansions – 5
- Rings – Fat Egg Zero
After his mis-guided decision, his quest for being the basketball’s GOAT (greatest of all time) is oh so far far away. But if, we’re talking the greatest active player slash realtor, he could be the greatest. I’ve never heard a 50 million dollar home shopping binge by a basketball player before. The home has a price tag of 49.5 million dollars, roughly half of his fresh 100 million dollar contract with the Miami hit. (An eight room mansion of Shaquille ONeal costs half of that. See here.)
I think his choice of moving to Miami Heat is more than just basketball. Yes, he wants to win rings, but he wants more. He wants to play with his buddies (Wade & Bosh). He want the South Beach lifestyle. He wants fun. This mansion purchase is another step towards that South Beach fun. Can you say parteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!
The home is the most expensive in Coral Gables, according to Life & Style, and features:
- Eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms
- 880 feet of waterfront;
- A master suite with a full gym
- A private guest suite with its own tennis court and courtyard on an acre of land.
- A 150-foot dock
I hope the sale pushes through so that he can enjoy his next summer in Miami in that mansion. That, after the Kobe Bryant takes care of them in the NBA Finals, June 2011.
