Science museum at The Fort, next year
Posted on | August 31, 2010 |
Exciting news for kids (and kid-at-heart) who love science & technology, facts, processes (and its history maybe). It will rise at Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.
A collection of great minds, some 150 people have been working on the project for the last three years. Cmon now, let’s break it down… 50 designers, four architects, 25 scientists, 12 engineers, 15 exhibit advisers, 12 student interns, 28 building consultants, and five foundation employees.
Supported by some 40+ sponsors, with inputs from UST and UP art people and backed by Bonifacio Art Foundation, the site will rise up next year. So that, I’ll have another place to visit when I’m at the Fort area.
The report source here (but check the lot area, report says it’s 12,000 square kilometers, could be 12,000 square meters. And, 12,000 sqm is still big a place, maybe 1200 sqm?).
BTW, my go-to place at The Fort/Bonifacio Highstreet…
- For 2 hours, read for free at Fully Booked
- Sometimes, eat calamares at TGIF, greasy & tasty burgers @ Brother’s Burger, Combo set meals at Pancake House
- Drool over Nike’s shoes
- Visit my friends at Dimensione & BoConcept
- Picture, picture the art installations all over the Boni Highstreet “park” (just take the shots when the guards are not around)
- And soon no. 1… the planned awesome P1-billion museum
- And soon no. 2, Go to Nuffnang Philippines, ask Foodie Manila aka Carlos Palma, why my sidebar widget Nuffnang Ads still doesn’t show any ads? (Nuffnang HQ is at Bonifacio Highstreet)
