Whatever Yaya
Posted on | September 13, 2010 |
First night of our hired yaya (nanny), we were informed by the agency that her family contacted them. The yaya needs to get back home because her youngest was confined in the hospital. We allowed her to go home and gave fare + more than a day’s work fee. A week later, she returned and she was back with vengeance and cooked pretty good ginataang (coco milk) tilapya and sinigang na baboy and did a decent job taking care of the baby and some home chores. It paid off that we supported her.
After 2 weeks and good service, this time her family phoned us. We’re told, our yaya’s hubby (a taxi driver) hit a motorcycle driver and the bike driver met the ultimate end. May he rest in piece. The husband was detained in one police HQ in Taguig Philippines. Dunno how we were able to break the story to the yaya, but we did it. How worse can it get for her? Of course we told her that she can go and attend to her problems. We gave her again her salary rounded of to the 15th of this month, we did not deduct the full agency fee that she owe us, and we gave her extra fare again.
And so whatever yaya, we are here to support you.
But please yaya, inform us on or before the 15th if you’ll be back again.
BTW, have you seen this yaya video I posted?
