SoBo Design Loft to Open in Federal Hill, Baltimore
Posted on | September 7, 2010 |
Baltimore’s Federal Hill will soon be home to the exclusive design firm, SoBo Design Loft, LLC with founder/interior designer Fanny Zigdon. Ms. Zigdon brings upscale New York design sensibilities to Charm City focusing on a serene minimalism with high drama.
This appointment-only furniture/art gallery and design consultancy located at 20 W.Cross Street, will specialize as Maryland’s exclusive purveyor of the Adriana Hoyos Collection of furnishings and artist/art designer Alex Turco pieces. Both designers infuse their Latin roots with edgy, modern, architecturally stunning proportions and textures.
“Federal Hill is the perfect place in Baltimore for the launch of my new interior design business,” says Fannie Zigdon. “It has a great vibe – young enough to embrace something edgy, refined enough to appreciate timeless design.”
Ms. Zigdon most recently volunteered as a design assistant to the producers for the Extreme Home Makeover Baltimore Edition which is scheduled to air on ABC Sunday, September 26, 2010. Tasked with hunting down just the right design elements such as lighting, rugs and decorative accessories, Ms. Zigdon also helped organize the show’s workrooms setting them up with seamstresses and upholsterers for window treatments and furniture as well as helping producers coordinate painters and wallpaper hangers. Ms. Zigdon was uplifted by the sense of community that came together in support of the Boys Hope Girls Hope residence for girls.
Private grand opening for SoBo Design Loft is Tuesday evening, October 12, 2010. Those wishing to make appointments to see the Adriana Hoyas and Alex Turco Collections, or to present a space for design consultation, may do so by calling 410.375.1154. For more information visit www.sobodesignloft.com
