“From poor man’s lumber to rich man’s wood, from lowly nipa hut to luxury villas/resort, from domestic to international market”, this can be the shift of the way we look at bamboo, after sometime if the project will go on full swing and developed to the fullest, said Frank BOnoan, Executive Director, Cottage Industry Technology Center.
Bonoan was in the province recently with Conrad Pereras, Chairman, Bamboo Network of the Philippines speakers in a symposium on Engineered Bamboo Project or E-bamboo project.

The big guns all converge inside SMX and some celebs in there too. No one bigger (in terms of stature) than the president herself, GMA. We were invited to come there by one fabric – textile dealer. They gave us truckload of fabric swatches on our way home. (When are we going to use fabric and cushions on our line-up? Soon.)
Manila Now starts today, will run up to Sunday, 7th. For walk-in visitors, there’s a pricey entrance fee of 500. For “trade visitors”, the pre-registered ones, no fees.

We’re warming up! Here are some bench designs we have. We are trying to cast out the old old old designs within our furniture line-up. Only, we can’t just drastically wipe out the old school designed furniture units we have (by old, we mean workers’ furniture pieces they’ve been making all their lives – like this, this, this, this and this) ‘coz they still sell well. We want to push the designs but we need to pay the bills too so we are still producing ’em old ones.
