Naming Names

Posted on | September 3, 2010 |

With over 500 items posted and/or for sale, it will require super-human memory to remember which is which and big-time effort to refer to furniture and products by their descriptions. There we have to name names.

Names come from all corners of our minds – from grade school classmates, pop culture, the movies, college subjects, the furniture form & shape, etc. We follow no pattern in naming and so it’s all fun. The hard part is making sure that the names used don’t have awful meaning in other countries/language.

Plus, having names is way cooler than calling ’em by codes. Say, “QUIQUE” TV Bench is absolutely fun sounding than “TV2289933VX54” TV Bench.

Plus plus, having furniture names and certain images on marketing materials kinda gives additional points in case one would like to claim copyright. That’s according to a lawyer I asked. Oh well. (BTW, bar exam coming this Sunday, good luck to our friend who’s to take the bar challenge this weekend, bravo baste!)

And so in year, we’ve got hundreds and hundreds of names that I’m sure, we can complete the alphabet with our products’ name.

Let’s do try it!
