manila FAME 2010

In case you don’t know, Manila FAME is on today. It will run from 22 up to 25th over there are WTC Pasay City.

A new beginning unfolds at Manila F.A.M.E. International, Asia’s Boutique Show. Evolving, re-inventing, transforming. Manila F.A.M.E. International, the second longest-running trade platform for home and fashion lifestyle products in the Asia Pacific and the only Union des Foires Internationales (UFI) recognized trade fair in the Philippines, welcomes you to a new phase as it opens its doors as Asia’s Boutique Show. This April, visit the Manila F.A.M.E. International! Be part of the evolution.

General Product Coverage:  Arts & Crafts; Bed & Bathroom Accessories; Christmas & Other Holiday Decorations; Boxes (Multi-Purpose); Costume Jewelry; Fine Jewelry; Footwear; Festival & Party Articles; Visual Arts (Paintings, Framed Pictures & Sculptures); Furniture; Garden Accessories; Garments; Gifts & Premium Items; Handmade Paper Products; Textiles; Home Décor; Houseware; Kitchen & Tableware; Lamps & Lighting; Leathergoods; Mirror & Picture Frames; Personal Care Products; Stationery & Desk Accessories; Toys, Games & Dolls; Votives, Candles & Spa Products; Others. {via}

We did a quick (inside one hour) aisle by aisle walk-through today and we’re out before noon. Compared with Manila Now, this show is not  heavy on furniture as it was chopped into four sections: Home Interiors, Fashion & Wearables, Health & Wellness and Creative Industries.

10 thoughts this Manila F.A.M.E. ’10.

  • Bicol region is really abaca region.
  • I miss Pres. GMA (she opened the Manila Now 2010 furniture show).
  • Gravel parking of WTC aint tire friendly.
  • We’d like to buy a welding machine right about now (outsourcing is slow, you know).
  • Philippine furniture shows are almost always loaded with native lamps.
  • The exhibitors are the same set of people/companies from other shows in the past.
  • The bamboo material is amazingly versatile, cheap and beautiful.
  • Philippine-made pottery is world class.
  • You can buy yema and kamote at Manila FAME. This is true. Go to the pavilion section.
  • This April, Manila FAME is the next best thing coz we can’t go to afford the 2010 Milan Furniture Fair (Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2010).

As usual, if we find any good info (unlike this post), thorough coverage and photo galleries about the Manila FAME event, we’ll post the links. (UPDATED: Well, here are the links now…)

Just treat this post as an event reminder tone on your smartphone-cellphone calendar… Ding-dong!
